Volinky is a Russian time tested classic. They are one of warmest snow boots, made 100% out of loose sheep wool. Each is hand crafted in the good old traditions of shoe making. Manufactured for over 300 years ( history fact: they even were used in War with Napoleon, WWI and WWII ! ), reborn and revamped in the recent time they prove their durable quality again and again. Their stiff wholesome construction holds the shape in tact for years and winters to come. Light weight, snugly and very warm they also are snow repelling due to the thickness of tight felting and a natural sheep wool wax - lanolin present in the fiber. Temperature rated to -58F the boots are breathable to keep your feet toasty, dry and healthy. The two layer rubber sole is first hand sewn on with a specific, thick, synthetic thread and another layer is press machine sealed. Custom made calf width will assure a perfect fit.
You can mix and match different decorations, hand stitched beading and/or luxurious genuine fur trim with many boot colors. Volinki are also believed to have many beneficial health and therapeutic qualities.
